Overview

From Brandt

Brandt’s G550 multi-axle beavertail on/off highway transporter delivers the muscle you need to haul more with each trip. The fixed gooseneck reduces tare weight compared to hydraulic models, freeing up capacity to carry a bigger payload. Its optimized design allows the payload to be positioned further forward to transfer more weight to the tractor and steer axle. And, the gooseneck’s low profile creates more space on the deck to easily accommodate bulky cargo. Features: Brandt’s advanced paint protection looks better, lasts longer, and inhibits corrosion for longer trailer life and increased resale value. Reliable design and long-lasting components reduce total cost of ownership. Simple gooseneck reduces the tare weight, maximizing payload capacity to haul more without needing an overweight permit. Optimized deck height provides a blend of best ground clearance and overall payload height. Patent-pending booster stability system locks the booster axle when backing up and when travelling over 60km/h for safer, easier handling. Remotely-mounted air-tank drain valves make maintenance safer and faster. Non-skid surface treatments on optional deck and rear-frame trough covers ensure better traction for the operator. Premium fir decking ensures that the operator has safe, stable footing when working on the trailer.

About removable gooseneck trailers

A removable gooseneck trailer is a lowboy whose front neck detaches — hydraulically or mechanically — so the deck rests on the ground and becomes its own ramp. Tracked and low-clearance machines drive on from the front without separate ramps or a dock. RGNs are the default choice for excavators over 30 tons, and the format scales with added axles, jeeps and boosters into the 100-ton-plus range for permitted loads.
