Winch & RollerEven disabled equipment can be loaded with ease with the standard 20,000-lb. winch and 9/16” cable, which comes standard with winch guard, skid plate (shown left) and 80’ cable with locking safety hook. Optional roller shown above (right). Hydraulic Valve ControlsDual-side push/pull hydraulic controls and Kar-Tech remote are standard (winch only.) Optional full-function remote offers 2-speed operation. Slow-speed function decreases speed by 50% to allow for better maneuverability of tricky equipment. Centered RollersAs the axles travel, the dovetail deck rides securely on 5"-wide rollers that are centered on the main beams. This prevents damage to the flange, a common problem in offset designs. Side-Access Tool BoxesTwo side-access toolboxes at front of upper deck with chrome T-handles are standard. (Top access with gas shock is optional. Lights are optional.) Grease BankEasy access grease points (along the sides of the trailer) make greasing the entire trailer, including axle components and cylinder pivots, a simple, convenient process. The Trail King Hydraulic Sliding Tail offers a 10 degree load angle and low ground clearance to allow equipment, such as scissor lifts and man lifts, to be loaded easily. About lowboy trailers
A lowboy drops the deck between the gooseneck and the rear axles, putting the load 18 to 24 inches off the ground. That low center of gravity is what lets tall equipment — excavators, dozers, cranes, drill rigs — travel under bridges without an over-height permit. Fixed-neck lowboys load from the rear or side; detachable-neck models let the machine drive straight on from the front. Typical capacities run 35 to 60 tons, with multi-axle configurations reaching well beyond that.
